A man believed to have repeatedly stolen items from the Ceres Fire Station at 830 Pecos Avenue was arrested Thursday morning after he was seen taking a soda.

At 8:40 a.m., Ceres firefighters reported a continual problem with a suspect entering the Pecos station and stealing items such as sodas. As firefighters were out on a call, a water delivery man saw the suspect, Gary Elliott, 39, of Modesto, helping himself to a soda and then leave.

 Officer Adam Hall obtained a description of Elliott and located him a few blocks away. Elliott was arrested and booked for burglary.
