Three men have been arrested by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department for allegedly stealing materials from the KB Homes construction sites in Hughson.

Over the past 10 months, the Sheriff’s Office received approximately 11 reports of property theft at the site, including air conditioning units, water heaters, construction materials and appliances valued at approximately $15,490.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Rural Crimes Unit identified Kekoa Octubre as a suspect. Following a search of his home, Octubre was arrested for burglarizing two unoccupied homes in Hughson, and one in a Patterson development.

On May 18 at approximately 11:23 p.m., detectives interrupted a burglary in progress at the Hughson KB Homes development. The Sheriff’s Office helicopter unit observed two men loading items cabinets and miscellaneous construction materials from unoccupied homes. Both were apprehended and identified as Adrian Ramirez-Baez and Isaias Machuca. Each were charged with burglary, conspiracy and receiving stolen property.

The two incidents are unrelated, and it remains unknown whether the individuals are connected to thefts at other construction sites.

The Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate these thefts and encourages anyone with additional information to contact the Rural Crimes Unit at 209-525-7114.
