A myriad of new drug charges were placed on a 45-year-old Turlock man who was parked in a south Modesto neighborhood on Friday evening and fled an officer.
At 7:44 p.m., Ceres Police Officer Eric Souza was patrolling the area of Crows Landing Road near Olivero Road when he spied an Acura Integra parked in the 300 block of Olivero Road. Familiar with the vehicle and the arrest warrant for its owner, Saul Zepeda, 45, of Turlock, Officer Souza went in to make an arrest. While speaking with a passenger, Zepeda saw the officer while he was approaching his car, dropped two baggies containing a combined weight over 25 grams of a white crystalline substance and fled on foot.
Zepeda was found hiding in a shed in the backyard of a home in the 300 block of Hatch Road and arrested. He was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance with two or more priors, possession of a controlled substance for sales, resisting arrest and the felony warrant.
