Vehicle code violations led to an early Friday car stop in the area of Hatch and Moffett roads where a 27-year-old Turlock man was arrested.

At 1:56 a.m., Officer Juan Ramos was on patrol when he stopped the driver of a silver-colored Toyota Prius. When he contacted driver Jorge Perez, 27, he noticed signs and symptoms of someone under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Perez was given field sobriety tests, which indicated he was under the influence of alcohol.Perez was arrested for DUI and provided a breath sample that showed that he was nearly two times the legal limit to drive.

Perez was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
