Two arrested in car stop

A car stop that took place Sunday morning resulted in the arrest of one man for possession of a meth pipe and the other on an auto theft arrest warrant.

Ceres Police Officer Bill Carter conducted the traffic stop at Richland Avenue and Herndon Road at 925 a.m. and found three persons inside.

The driver was on parole and a search of the car took place.

Ryan Ashlock, 27, of Angels Camp, was arrested for a warrant from the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

Dakota Downs, 23, of Manteca, was arrested for possession of a methamphetamine pipe. Both were booked at the County Jail.

The driver was released.
