Ceres Police recovered a stolen BMW 328i Friday evening and arrested two Ceres teens on separate charges.

Officer Greg Houser was patrolling the 2300 block Whitmore Avenue at 8:06 p.m. on Friday evening when he spotted the stolen vehicle parked in the VIVA Market liquor store parking lot at 2361 Whitmore Avenue. Officer Houser saw the brake lights light up and called for backup. Officers removed two men from the car and arrested the 17-year-old driver on charges of auto theft and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Passenger Gilbert Luna, 18, of Ceres was arrested on possession of a stolen vehicle and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.

The juvenile, whose name was not released because of a state law protecting the identities of minors, was booked into Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall.
