Two stabbed in South Modesto trailer park
Ceres Cop Car

The stabbing of two persons Tuesday morning, Nov. 22 in a rural mobile home park sent detectives scurrying to the scene to piece together what occurred.

The knife attack occurred at approximately 9:16 a.m. in the Country Western Mobile Home Park, 4449 S. Carpenter Road, west of Ceres. Responding to the stabbing were Stanislaus County Sheriff's deputies and Modesto Police officers. They found a 54-year-old woman and 56-year-old man suffering from stab wound.

Both were transported to the emergency room and are expected to survive.

Turlock Police detectives took over the investigation due to the funeral for Deputy Dennis Wallace that day. They developed suspect information that led to two suspects - 53-year-old Phillip Turley who has been arrested and charged with attempted murder; and Alisha Gomes, 28, who was arrested Saturday on suspicion of attempted murder and burglary.

At 6 a.m. Wednesday someone at the park called 911 to report that one of the suspects had returned to a trailer.

Detectives are following up on a second suspect.
