Warrant for fraud charge sends woman to jail

A Thursday afternoon car stop of a woman driving  a Chrysler Town & Country ended with her arrest on a felony warrant related to fraud.

At 1:43 p.m., Ceres Police Officer Isaac Carter was patrolling the area of Darrah Street and Memorial Drive when he stopped Tostie White, 45, of Modesto, for vehicle code violations. Through a records check, Officer Carter learned that she was wanted and arrested her for the warrant and an additional charge of providing false vehicle registration. Tostie was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
