Woman arrested for breaking into employee's car

An employee of the Ceres Home Depot store went to his car on Tuesday evening, June 28 and found a stranger rifling through his glovebox. Police were called and an arrest was made.

At 10:50 p.m., Ceres Police Officer Matthew Vierra was dispatched to the store in the 1400 block of Hatch Road on a report that a woman was caught breaking into his car. Employees had detained Aubry Cordova, 32, of Ceres. Officer Vierra learned Cordova had broken into an employee’s locked vehicle by damaging one of the windows. She was found inside the vehicle, going through the glovebox when she was confronted by the victim.

Cordova was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of burglary, vandalism and for violating probation.
