A 68-year-old Ceres woman was arrested Tuesday evening, July 13 for allegedly assaulting a domestic partner.

At 9:58 p.m. Officer Jonathan Blount was dispatched to the 1600 block of Cancimilla Court for a report of domestic disturbance. He investigated the claims of one person that Maria Lopez made an assault which was corroborated by injuries on the victim.

Lopez was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of domestic violence.
