Arrested for vandalizing a travel trailer, Amber Ledezma began beating her forehead into a Plexiglas wall inside the patrol vehicle.

Police arrested a 33-year-old Ceres woman on Thursday for vandalizing a travel trailer and while in the back of the patrol car began slamming her head against the Plexiglas partition separating the front seat and rear seat.

At 1:47 p.m. Officers Nicholas Welsh and Eric Gallegos were dispatched to Run Around Sue’s bar at 1419 Mitchell Road regarding Amber Ledezma, 33, of Ceres, vandalizing a travel trailer in the parking lot. They investigated and saw a window glass had been broken and the screen removed. As they approached the trailer, they could hear Ledezma inside the trailer. Ledezma was ordered out of the trailer but she refused and attempted to hide in the back of it. The officers entered the trailer and took Ledezma into custody.

The owner said Ledezma did not have permission to be in the trailer. Witnesses confirmed that she was responsible for the damage and break-in. As officers were obtaining statements and prepare to transport Ledezma to jail, she began striking her head against the Plexiglas partition of the patrol car she was placed in. She also began kicking the side window cages of the inside of the patrol car. After being medically treated she was booked into jail on charges of burglary, resisting arrest and parole violations.
