Argus’ Ayden White honored by Ceres Rotarians
Ayden White
Ayden White (at center holding plaque), was honored Friday as a Rotary “Student of the Month.” With him, left to right, are: Rotary President Kirsten Saint, Principal Marianne Ashby, mother Amy Reed and sister Amyliah White.

Ayden White, a senior attending Argus Continuation High School, was recognized Friday as a Rotary Student of the Month.

Ayden White was selected to be honored at the Ceres Rotary Club meeting as an exceptional young man who has not missed a single day of school nor been tardy to any of his classes — an incredible accomplishment that reflects his outstanding dedication and commitment.

He has caught the attention of his teachers not only because of his unwavering commitment to education but also because of his genuine kindness and positive spirit. He is always very supportive of his peers and has no problem helping anybody, even if there is no incentive.

Despite facing housing challenges, Ayden demonstrates remarkable grit and tenacity, waking up at 5:30 a.m. each morning to walk to school. His goal is to graduate, possibly ahead of schedule — a meaningful achievement given that neither of his parents graduated from high school.

Ayden previously attended Job Corps, where he earned a certificate in Security and Protective Services.

As he contemplates his future path, White is considering a career in law enforcement or science.
