Ceres Library fun on tap

The Ceres Library will offer free craft programs and children's activities in January, beginning with "WeeStay and Play" After Story Time on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. On Wednesdays, Jan. 6 and 20 the library will host "Wee Move and Play" at 11:30 a.m. Both programs feature unstructured play time for toddlers and preschoolers, during which they can enjoy movement and sensory play.

Children and teens can spend an afternoon creating unique designs with Perler beads on Thursday, Jan. 7 at 3:30 p.m. The Perler beads fuse together when heat is applied, preserving the crafter's design. Children under the age of 4 are welcome to participate, however they must have direct parental supervision.

The library will host an Edible Snowman craft making session for all ages at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14. Crafters will use marshmallows and assorted treats to create snowmen. All materials will be provided.

Children and teens can make Spin Art Creations at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21. The library will provide spin art makers and paint for crafters to use in making swirled works of art.

Community members are invited to an All Ages Coloring Day on Thursday, Jan. 28 at 3:30 p.m. The library will provide coloring pages, crayons, markers, and colored pencils. Coloring has been shown to reduce stress and promote creativity.
