Community members are invited to take part in free activities, informational programs, and crafts this November, beginning with Wee Move and Play on Wednesdays, Nov. 1 and 15 at 11:30 a.m. and Tuesdays at 11 a.m. This program features unstructured playtime for toddlers and preschoolers, during which they can enjoy movement and sensory play.
Children can enjoy a coloring activity on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 3:30 p.m. Participants will color their own Day of the Dead masks.
The library will host a LEGO Day on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 3:30 p.m. Children will have the opportunity to build LEGO creations that will then be displayed in the library. Children 4 and under are welcome to participate, however, they must have direct parental supervision.
The library will offer Tech Connect programs on Mondays, Nov. 13 and 27 from 6 to 7 p.m. Community members will learn how to use the library's free apps, including Cloud Library (eBooks), RB Digital (eMagazines), Hoopla (digital audiobooks, movies, television shows, music, eBooks and graphic novels) and Mango Languages (online language learning software). Participants are asked to bring their smartphone, tablet, or eReader with internet access to the program.
Children and teens are invited to an edible craft program on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 3:30 p.m. Crafters will use tasty goodies to create edible turkey and acorn shaped confections.
The Ceres Library Book Club will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 11:30 a.m. Each participant is invited to bring a copy of a book they have read and loved to discuss with the group. Members will have an opportunity to learn about new books and authors through personal recommendations.
Children and teens can visit the library to learn how to make their own butter on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 3:30 p.m. Participants will have a chance to make and take home fresh butter.
