Concert to help Herb Henry celebrate 30th anniversary

Rev. Herb Henry will be celebrating his 30th anniversary as pastor of Richland Faith Assembly of God in Ceres, on Wednesday, March 2 at 7 p.m., as he hosts the world famous Blackwood Brothers Quartet in concert.

Henry became pastor of Richland Faith on March 2, 1986. In 1989 he began promoting Gospel concerts in the Modesto-Ceres area, bringing in some of Southern Gospel's finest talent. The same year he launched his weekly radio program, "Herb Henry FAmily and Friends," which is aired every Sunday from 2 to 4 pm on KCBC AM770.

The Blackwood Brothers are celebrating more than 80 years of performing. Their RCA Victor recordings took their music around the world in the 1950's and 1960's. Billy Blackwood, son of one of the founders, James Blackwood, is carrying on the Blackwood legacy along with tenor Wayne Little, lead Michael Helwig and bass Butch Owens.

The church is located at 1201 Richland Avenue in Ceres. Admission is free with an offering
