Camila Albor Leon honored
The Ceres Rotary Club honored Camila Albor Leon (center) on Friday. Gathered for the occasion were Principal Casey Giovanoni, parents Moises Albor and Adriana Lopez and Rotary Club President Paul Rutishauser.

The Rotary Club of Ceres and Central Valley High School recognized junior Camila Albor Leon as a “Rotary Student of the Month” on Friday.

Camila was honored for exemplifying the Rotary values of strong scholarship, leadership, citizenship and volunteerism. An outstanding student, she has earned all A’s throughout her high school career, reflecting her strong work ethic and commitment to academic excellence. Camila has been an active member of Ag Leadership for the past three years, a notable achievement as the course is offered during zero period and requires an exceptional level of dedication. This year she also serves in Renaissance Leadership as a campus ambassador where she continues to develop her leadership skills while representing Central Valley High School.

Camila has especially enjoyed community service opportunities provided through her ambassador role, her favorite being a volunteer for the Westport 4-H Club, where she helped serve breakfast to the community and enjoyed connecting with others and hearing their stories. She also volunteered at the Fall Festival at the student farm, helping create memorable experiences for elementary students in the district.

Camila has recently begun volunteering at her church whenever needed.

As the eldest child in her family, Camila will be the first to attend college. She hopes to attend UC Merced, Fresno State or Stanislaus State and aspires to become a family immigration lawyer.
