Dallas Street fire causes $125,000 damage to home

Fire caused an estimated $125,000 damage to a house and its contents at 1726 Dallas Street in south Modesto on Thursday morning.

No one was at home when the fire broke out at around 8:36 a.m. Firefighters from Modesto Regional Fire and Ceres Fire Department arrived in less than four minutes. A heavy amount of fire had already burned inside the single-story home.

Five engine companies, one truck company and three incident commanders responded to the incident with a total of 25 firefighters. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze in 30 minutes.

No injuries were reported.

The cause is under investigation.
