They were Danielle Carey, 28, of Ceres; Serenity Bloom, 24, of Manteca; and 26-year-old Modesto resident Caleb Saenz.
The name of the deceased driver was not immediately available.
All four occupants of the Tesla were rushed to Oak Valley Medical Center.
The CHP said all occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. It is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors.
State Route 108/120 was temporarily closed to allow for the investigation. Motorists were detoured through the area with minimal delay.
