February fun on tap at the Ceres Library

The Ceres Library will host free programs for all ages this month, beginning with a puzzle night series on Mondays, Feb. 12 and 26 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. All ages are welcome to test their skill level with a variety of puzzles ranging in difficulty levels. The library will have puzzles suitable for preschool age children through challenging puzzles for adults.

Wee Move and Play will take place on Wednesdays, Feb. 7 and 21 at 11:30 a.m. This program features unstructured playtime for toddlers and preschoolers, during which they can enjoy movement and sensory play.

Children can get ready for Valentine's Day with a craft on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 3:30 p.m. Participants will make unique robot shaped treats for Valentine's Day using edible materials. This craft is sponsored by the Friends of the Ceres Library.

The library will host a LEGO Day on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 3:30 p.m. Children will have the opportunity to build LEGO creations that will then be displayed in the library. Children 4 and under are welcome to participate, however, they must have direct parental supervision. LEGO® Day is sponsored by the Friends of the Ceres Library.

All ages are invited to a coloring and watercolor painting activity on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 3:30 p.m. The library will provide a variety of art supplies for participants to use to create their masterpieces. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Ceres Library.
The Ceres Library Book Club will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 11:30 a.m. Participants will discuss The Mapmaker's Wife by Robert Whitaker.
