In celebration of National Senior Day, Bristol Hospice Modesto and Stockton will be hosting what they are billing as the 3rd annual Bristol Bingo Bonanza on Monday, August 18.
The free event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Urhai Bingo Hall, 2016 N. Central Ave., Ceres.
Included will be lively Bingo games with prizes, complimentary lunch for all attendees and over 50 healthcare vendors offering information.
In addition four support Hospice agencies will be present.
Lawana Ofisa, the area director of Bristol Hospice Modesto and Stockton, said the event is intended to be a “free, feel-good community event dedicated to honoring our local seniors and ensuring they feel supported, celebrated and informed.
“We’ve seen firsthand how many seniors and their families are not aware of the resources available to them in our community. This event is our way of changing that — in a fun, welcoming, and uplifting environment.”
The mission, she said, is connecting seniors and their loved ones with resources they may not even realize are available — including hospice and palliative care, senior housing, home health services, wellness programs and more.
