Andrew Acala was honored by the Ceres Rotary Club on Friday as the club's honored "Student of the Month."

Andrew is an excellent student academically, earning a 4.0 for the first quarter of his eighth grade year. He has averaged a perfect 3.83 during his time at Mae Hensley. Those grades come in demanding course work including honors science, Pre-AP English, and Honors Social Studies.

According to his teachers, not only does Andrew excel in the classroom, he is a pleasure to have in class. His teachers describe him as, mature, responsible, polite, a self-motivated learner and a hard worker. Andrew's teachers add that he always gives his best efforts, is always on task, participates with his partners, and a joy to have in class.
