Sixth-grader Salgado honored by Rotarians

Blaker-Kinser Junior High School eighth-grader Livier Salgado was honored Friday by the Ceres Rotary Club as its’ “Rotary Student of the Month.”

School officials say that Livier is a hardworking and responsible student who takes pride in her education. She is enrolled in AVID and Honors classes, where she consistently shows effort, focus and a positive attitude toward learning. She enjoys challenging herself academically this summer will participate in a University of the Pacific program focused on cancer treatment medicine. That commitment reflects her interest in science, health, and helping others as she explored future career opportunities.

Ms. Salgado is also an active member of the school softball team, where she demonstrates teamwork, dedication and perseverance.

Off campus, she volunteers with her church, New Life, supporting students with special needs by assisting with communication, building social skills, and helping them feel included and supported. In this volunteer effort she has shown kindness, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility to her community. She also helps guide students as they learn about God, making a positive difference in their lives.

After high school graduation Salgado hopes to explore careers in interior design, international marketing business, or anesthesiology.
