The Soroptimist International of Ceres is encouraging women to apply for the “Live Your Dream” Award program. Local Soroptimists will be awarding a cash prize of $1,000 to a woman to help provide support as they seek to improve their lives through education. The due date for applications is Nov. 15.

The award is given to a woman who is furthering her education, either through college or trade school and who has the primary financial responsibility for herself and her dependents.  She must be attending an undergraduate degree program or a vocational skills training program and demonstrate financial need.

The club’s awardee will then be eligible for a higher regional award and an international award, each which come with higher award levels.
