Ceres police have plenty of details they hope to lead to arrests of the persons who staged an Aug. 20 strong arm robbery in the parking lot of Wells Fargo Bank in downtown Ceres.

Police were issued a detailed description of the getaway car used after the 10:30 a.m. robbery was staged on Fourth Street. A security guard posted at the bank saw the suspect and chased him to a blue 2003 Mazda MPV van with a personalized California license number of MADDSIS as it drove away. The van, which was parked and waiting on Third Street, is registered to Connie Spence, 46, who is wanted for questioning.

The suspect, a thin white male who was about 17 to 23 years of age, knocked down a female employee of Ceres Drug Store as she made her way to the bank and wrestled a purse away from her.

Anyone who has information regarding the robbery, the suspect or the van is urged to call Ceres Police investigator Travis Hudson at 538 5740 or Ceres Police Dispatch at 538-5713.
