Food 4 Less is sponsoring Saturday's 1st annual Food 4 Less Battle of Ceres Football Rally and BBQ Dinner fundraiser at the Ceres store at 1561 Mitchell Road.
Both Ceres and Central Valley High School athletic departments will benefit from this fundraiser at a time when school budgets are being cut.
Two thousand tickets have been split between the two schools to support athletic programs.The goal is to raise $8,000 per school.
A rally begins at 12:30 p.m. with the introduction of both teams. Dinners are available 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
For a donation of $8 per person, meals will be doled out that include a half-chicken, salad, roll, drink and desert. Take-out trays will be available.
Ceres service clubs and their volunteers will set up early on Saturday to begin cooking the chickens with the JV and freshman football players and cheerleaders preparing meal bags for this massive fundraiser.
