Services were held for Alexander Gundersen, 91, of Ceres. He died March 24, 2011.
Born April 16, 1919 to Hans and Kathryn Martin in Brooklyn, New York, Alexander spent his formative years there. He met Veronica Mullins whom he married on Sept. 27, 1941. Alex served in the Army during World War II. In 1985 he moved to California to be near his children, Mr. Gundersen was known as a generous and giving man who enjoyed tinkering with and fixing just about anything.
He leaves behind his wife, Veronica Gundersen of Ceres; his five children, Raymond Gundersen, Alexander Gundersen, Kathy Macklin, Judy Delano, and Ronnie Foley; and 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
