Services were held Thursday at Evins Funeral Home in Modesto for Alice Matilda Marker, 84, of Ceres. She died March 4, 2012.
Born May 17, 1927 in Freeport, Ill., Alice moved to California and worked several jobs as a nurse's aid. She liked to do puzzles in her spare time.
She leaves behind four children, Mary Kohne, Shirley Marker, Robert Marker and David Marker; her sister, Doris Trickel of Freeport, Ill.; and 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons Harold and Ray Marker.
