Arrangements were made for Annie L. Engell, 79, of Modesto. She died Dec. 21, 2011 at home.
Born June 2, 1932, Annie grew up in Sacramento and graduated from Sacramento High School. She went to work for AT&T where she met husband Jon Engell. They moved to Seattle, Wash., where their first daughter was born. She left AT&T to become a full-time mother. They returned to Sacramento where their second daughter was born. Annie was a secretary for the family business. They moved to Long Barn and then Modesto continuing in the business. She also became a site manager for Howard Training Center in Ceres. Annie enjoyed square and round dancing with Rockin W Rounders.
She leaves behind husband Jon Engell; two daughters, Julie Krebs and Michele Cain; and two granddaughters, Kristen Krebs and Kory Krebs.
