A graveside service was held Friday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Betty Louise Warriner Walker, 80, of Hughson. She died March 15, 2010 in Turlock.
Born Nov. 10, 1927, in Woodward, Okla., to Clarence Warriner and Edna Hensley, Betty and her aunt and uncle came to Alturas where she worked in sawmills. Later she moved to Lindsay where she met her soon to be husband from Hughson, Marshall Walker; they married Dec. 26, 1945 and then they settled in Hughson. Betty was a hard worker who took pride in taking great care of her house and cooking.
She leaves behind her husband, Marshall Walker of Hughson; her two sons, Gerald Walker and Daniel Walker; and two grandchildren, Matthew Walker and Samantha Walker. She was preceded in death by son Dave Walker.
