A graveside service was held Friday at Plainsburg Cemetery in Le Grand for Bob Murdock, 95, of Ceres. He died Aug. 11, 2007.
The Colonial Chapel-Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements.
Born April 1, 1912, Mr. Murdock was a native of Le Grand. Born into a farming family, he had a lifelong passion for farming and ranching. Mr. Murdock lived in Ceres. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had belonged to Centenary United Methodist Church since 1960, and was a member of Eagles Lodge #2143.
He leaves behind two children, Robert Douglas Murdock of Patterson and Sharon Shetley of Modesto; three grandchildren, Karl Shetly, Amy Rivera and Emily Murdock; and three great-grandchildren, Hannah Rivera, Hayley Rivera and Zachary Rivera. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sophia Murdock.
