Services were held Saturday at the Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs Funeral Home and at Lakewood Memorial Park, for Cassondra Fontana, 22, of Ceres. She died July 17, 2012 after battling cancer for the past four years.
Born Oct. 31, 1989 in Stockton, she married her husband, Gino Fontana, after five years of dating on April 20, 2012. They honeymooned in Hawaii, checking two items off Cassondra's "bucket list" in a single week. Although she never had children of her own, Cassondra treated her nieces and nephews like her own.
She leaves behind her husband, Gino Fontana; her mother, Rhonda Bowen; her father, Dennis Rexius; her biological father, Patrick Mckenzie; her brother, Denny Rexius; her brother-in-law, Vito Fontana; two sisters-in-laws, Bonnie Fontana and Amy Fontana; and her nieces and nephews, Jared Garcia, Rocco Fontana, Leo Fontana and Giana Fontana.
Remembrances may be contributed to help pay for burial expenses at Chase Bank (Act #3038576376) and donations will be accepted at the service.
