Services were held Friday for Charles D. Ollar, 76, of Ceres. He died Jan. 13, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Born Nov. 5, 1932 in Oklahoma to Estell and Rosetta Ollar, Charles worked as a prominent drywall contractor in Modesto for 52 years. He attended Bethel Church and was a Deacon Board member. He has served God faithfully throughout his life.
He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Shirley Mae Ollar of Ceres; two sons, Terry Ollar of Arlington, Wash., and Randy Ollar of Ceres; two brothers, Harold Ollar and Samuel Carroll Ollar, both of Modesto; three sisters, Oveta Blanchard of Modesto, Loretta Bowling of Waterford, and Barbara Powell of Visalia; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Estell "Lee" Leon Ollar.
