A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1732 Miller Ave., Modesto, for Christina L. Hill, 58, of Modesto. She died Dec. 20, 2008 at home after a lengthy illness.

A luncheon will follow the service.

Born Aug. 11, 1950, Chris was a native of Indianapolis, Ind., the daughter of Kenneth and Barbara Hill. She moved with her parents to Ceres where Chris attended schools and graduated from Ceres High in 1968. She attended Modesto Junior College and then graduated from Nursing School in Pocatello, Idaho where she worked as a registered nurse. After several years Chris returned to school an became a nurse practitioner. Mrs. Hill worked as family nurse practitioner for the San Joaquin County Public Health Department in Stockton for approximately 20 years, retiring in 2005.

Chris enjoyed working with animal rescue groups such as The Alley Cats. She also enjoyed horseback riding, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends in Yosemite National Park. Chris loved the Lord and enjoyed her membership in Calvary Baptist Church, attending many of their activities.

She leaves behind her brother, Arthur K. Hill of Modesto; and her sister, Kathie A Rapanos of Las Vegas, Nev.
