Services have been held and burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery, Miller, South Dakota for Clara Blanche Seeley Wininger, 87, of Peoria, Ariz. The former Hughson resident died June 2, 2004 at her home.

The Reck Funeral Home in Miller was in charge of arrangements.

Born Oct. 11, 1916, Mrs. Wininger was a native of Frankfort, S.D. and had lived in Peoria since 1989. She previously lived in Hughson from 1965-89, and in Hand County, S.D. She and her first husband owned a filling station and care in Pierre, S.D., and she and her second husband operated a walnut ranch in Hughson. Mrs. Wininger was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, working in walnut orchards, gardening and hummingbirds.

She leaves behind two children, Beverly Baade of Peoria, Ariz., and Ken Stewart of Redfield, S.D.; two stepchildren, Maxine Hubbard of Modesto and Karl Wininger Jr. of Redding; two sisters, Ester Kramer of Rapid City, S.D., and Myrtle Ames of Miller, S.D.; and eight grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harry Stewart and Carl Wininger; and three sisters and five brothers.
