A memorial service was held Saturday morning at Ceres Christian Church for Curtis Antone Ewing, 44, of Ceres. He died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004 at his home.

The McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements.

Born March 1, 1959, Mr. Ewing was a native of Fremont and lived in Ceres for 12 years. He was an assemblyman for New United Motor Manufacturing Inc. for 10 years. Mr. Ewing was a member of Ceres Christian Church. He was an Army veteran and served from 1977-80.

He leaves behind his wife, Molly Ewing of Ceres; three children, Curtis Andrew Ewing, Christopher Anthony Ewing and Eric Michael Ewing, all of Manteca; his stepdaughter, Sarah Keenan of Ceres; his mother, Dorothy Brown of Milpitas; two brothers, Doug Ewing of Fremont and Billy Ewing of Brentwood; six sisters, Linda Kilgore of Livermore, Tina Powell of Turlock, Lynell Price of Tracy, Loretta Corcoran of Peoria, Ariz., Cindy Anderson of Tigard, Ore., and Lisa Saint George of San Jose; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Lawrence Ewing, and one brother.
