Private services were held at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemtery for Curtis Antone Ewing, 44, of Ceres. He died of natural causes at his home on Jan. 27, 2004.

The McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements.

Born March 1, 1959, Mr. Ewing was a native of Fremont and lived in Ceres for 12 years. He was an assembly line worker for New United Motors for 10 years. Mr. Ewing was a member of Ceres Christian Church. He served in the Army from 1977 to 1980.

He leaves behind his wife, Molly Ewing of Ceres; three sons, Curtis Andrew Ewing, Christopher Anthony Ewing and Eric Michael Ewing, all of Manteca; his stepdaughter, Sarah Keenan of Ceres; his mother, Dorothy Brown of Milpitas; two brothers, Doug Ewing of Fremont and Billy Ewing of Brentwood; six sisters, Linda Kilgore of Livermore, Tina Powell of Turlock, Lynell Price of Tracy, Loretta Corcoran of Peoria, Ariz., Cindy Anderson of Tigard, Ore., and Lisa Saint George of San Jose; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by brother Christopher Ewing.
