Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs for Donald J. Perkins, 70, of Ceres. He died dec. 17, 2005 at his home.

There will be no public services.

Born Sept. 25, 1935, Mr. Perkins was a native of Los Angeles and lived in Ceres for 18 years. He was a warehousehman for Certified Grocers for 30 years. He attended First Baptist Church in Ceres. Mr. Perkins was a member of the Teamsters local in Stockton.

He leaves behind his wife, Penny Perkins of Ceres; five children, David Perkins, Michael Perkins, Cary Perkins and Dina Perkins, all of Los Angeles, and Leanne Perkins of Reno, Nev.; two brothers, Eddie Boatwright and Jerry Boatwright, both of the Los Angeles area; three sisters, Edwina Boatwright, Pamela Boatwright and Trina Boatwright, all of the Los Angeles area; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rebecca Perkins.
