The Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements for Donald J. Perkins, 70, of Ceres. He died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005 at his home.

Born Sept. 25, 1935, Mr. Perkins was a native of Los Angeles and lived in Ceres for 18 years, where he attended First Baptist Church. Mr. Perkins was a warehouseman for Certified Grocers for 30years, and was a member of the Teamsters union.

He leaves behind his wife, Penny Perkins of Ceres; five children, David Perkins, Michael Perkins, Cary Perkins and Deana Perkins, all of Los Angeles, and Leanne Perkins of Reno; two brothers, Eddie Boatwright and Jerry Boatwright, both of Los Angeles; three sisters, Edwina Boatwright, Pamela Boatwright and Trina Boatwright, all of Los Angeles; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
