A funeral service was held Saturday at First Baptist Church in Hilmar, for Doris Fay Moore, 82, of Ceres. She died Feb. 20, 2008 at her home.
Burial was at Hilmar Cemetery in Hilmar under the direction of Fremont Chapel of the Roses.
Born Aug. 21, 1925, Mrs. Moore was a native of Pontotoc, Texas. She was a hard worker and dedicated to her family. She especially enjoyed family lunches at Hometown Buffet.
She leaves behind her husband of 64 1/2 years, Forrest Moore, Sr. of Ceres; her chidren, Steve Moore of Mena, Ark., Forrest Moore, Jr. of Myrtle Creek, Ore., Eric Moore of Mena, Ark., Louetta Perez of Stevinson, Lona Van Fleet of Hilmar and Roberta Entriken of Delhi; her sister, Florene Duarte of Kingsland, Texas; and 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
