A memorial gathering was held at Eaton Family Funeral Home on Friday for Douglas Albert Campbell, 62, of Ceres. He died April 12, 2009.

Private burial was at Ceres Memorial Park.

Born Oct. 15, 1946 in Carmel, Doug graduated from Patterson High School in 1964. He married Nancy Johnson in 1968. He was a volunteer firefighter for Keyes Fire Department and a founding member of Ceres Youth Soccer. Mr. Campbell was a truck driver for over 30 years for Foster Farms feed mill in Ceres. He was also a NASCAR fan and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Nancy Campbell of Ceres; three daughters, Cara Howard of Ceres, Cindee Ellenbarger of Turlock and Allyson Mejia of Delhi; his mother, Mina Elise Wilson of Ceres; his sister, Minamary Ryall of Turlock; his brother, Steven Apple of Mountain View; and his grandchildren, Hayley Howard, Jeremy Ellenbarger, Zane Ellenbarger, Brittany Mejia, Jenna Mejia and Samuel Mejia.
