Salas Brother Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements for Dr. Frederick Andrew Mote, 69, of Ceres. He died Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Burial was at Logan Pleasant View Cemetery in Carver, Ore.
Born Jan. 21, 1936, Dr. Mote was a native of Manila, Philippines, and had lived in Ceres since 2004. He was a physician and surgeon; he had worked in Hanford, Portland, Ore., and Superior, Mont., and in Vietnam and elsewhere outside of the United States. Mr. Mote enjoyed photography, stamp and coin collecting, growing tomatoes and traveling. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He leaves behind his wife, Meryl F. Mote of Ceres; three children, Merylin Hanson of Molalla, Ore., Delbert Mote of Gresham, Ore., and Dwayne Mote of Anchorage, Alaska; three stepchildren, Robert Wilson of Angwin, Carol Munson of Yucaipa and Kenneth Wilson of Vancouver, Wash.; his sister, Ardena Parks of Boring, Ore.; and 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Darrell Mote.
