A graveside service was held at Lakewood Memorial Park for Eleanor Louise Berry Bentley, 83, of Modesto. She died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004 at English Oaks Convalescent Hospital.
The Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements.
Born Dec. 24, 1920, Mrs. Bentley was a native of Texas and lived in Modesto 27 years. She was a waitress for 30 years. She enjoyed board games.
She leaves behind five children, Lee Bentley of Sonora, Shirley Webb of Modesto, Barbara Lomonaco and Jimmy Bentley, both of Visalia, and Bev Bentley of Ceres; her brother, Finis Berry of Texas; two sisters, Maxi McNally and Sue Diamond, both of Texas; and 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
