A Mass was held Tuesday at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church for Emilio Joseph Perez, 82, of Riverbank. He died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.
Burial was at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Modesto under the direction of Riverbank Memorial Chapel.
Born Aug. 8, 1923, Mr. Perez was a native of Ceres and a lifelong resident of Riverbank. He was a medical supervisor at Tracy Defense Depot for 35 years. Mr. Perez was an Army veteran of World War II. He was member of St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, past member of the SOS Club of Modesto, and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Riverbank.
He leaves behind his wife, Helen Perez of Riverbank; three children, Ed Perez of Riverbank, Dolores Luna of Upland, and Carolyn Lackey of Selma; his sister, Dolores Gonzalez of Modesto; and five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
