Allen Mortuary is in charge of a funeral service will at a later date in Oklahoma for Florence Joe Martin, 88, of Hughson. She died in late April.
Burial will take place at Woodbury Forest Cemetery in Madill, Okla.
Born in August 1922 in Fourche, Ark., Florence grew up there also lived in Chicago before moving to California in 1946. Mrs. Martin settled in Hughson in 1968. She was a member of VFW Post #5059 Ladies Auxiliary and loved to cook and spend time gardening.
She leaves behind her grandson Scott Knowles of Hughson; and great-granddaughter Amantha Knowles. She was preceded in death by parents William and Sarah Fletcher, husband Roy Martin and daughter Joe Ann Knowles.
