A graveside service was held Saturday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Frank Joseph Westfall, 95, of Modesto. He died Monday, June 27, 2005 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.

The McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements.

Born July 23, 1909, Mr. Westfall was a native and lifelong resident of Modesto and graduated from Modesto High School and attended Modesto Junior College. He retired in 1962 after a 40-year career with the Modesto Irrigation District where he was an electrician. Mr. Westfall was a Boy Scout and school volunteer. He enjoyed traveling and camping.

Mr. Westfall leaves behind 10 children, Bruce Westfall of Modesto, Frances Hodgson of Ceres, Margie Rose of Hughson, Ray Westfall of Delhi, Roy Westfall of Gilroy, Ila Westfall of McKinleyville, Helen Davis of Ashland, Ore., Donna Collins of Golden Valley, Ariz., Tammy Leyva of Ash Fork, Ariz., and Frank Westfall of Williams, Ariz.; and 35 grandchildren, plus great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers; and two sisters.
