A funeral service was held Monday at Allen Mortuary in Turlock for Franklin D. Lankford, 76. He died Feb. 20, 2010 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.
Burial was at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.
Frank was born July 20, 1933 in Keene, Texas. He was married to Bonnie Showin-Lankford for 17 years and they had six children.
He is survived by his children, Shellie Lankford Jones of Turlock, David Lankford of Denair, Martin Lankford of Keyes, and Alan Lankford, Steven Lankford and John Lankford, all of Turlock; his sister, Nora Luse-Blattler of Modesto; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents E.J. and Icy Lankford, brothers Bobby Joe, Alfred James, Marvin Wayne and Jack Lankford.
