George Carvalho Sr.
A funeral service was held Saturday at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home for George Carvalho Sr., 84, of Ceres. He died Oct. 21, 2010.

George loved the rodeo and socializing with his cowboy friends in Makawao. He moved to Ceres 20 years ago. Mr. Carvalho enjoyed woodcarving, playing his guitar at family gatherings, animals, and visiting with family and friends.

He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Isabel Carvalho of Ceres; his sons, George Carvalho Jr. of Modesto, Glenn Carvalho of Arizona, and Dennis Carvalho of Nevada; three brothers, Danny Carvalho, Ernest Carvalho, and Walter Carvalho, all of Hawaii; two sisters, Dorothy of Hawaii and Betty Lou of Hughson; and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
