He built many stunning pieces of custom furniture during his career, and was published in Fine Woodworking Magazine. After moving to Modesto, Gil became a systems engineer for Stanislaus County until he retired.
A wonderful husband, father and family man, Gil enjoyed traveling and the outdoors. He was a leader in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and enjoyed activities with his sons.
He is survived by Angela, his loving wife of 37 years; and two sons Gilbert IV (Lauren Russel) and Benjamin.
