A Mass will be at 10 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson for Guadalupe Barajas Villafana, 84, of Vernalis. She died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004 at her home.
Burial will be at Patterson District Cemetery.
Born Oct. 26, 1919, Mrs. Villafana was a native of Tenamaxtlan, Jalisco, Mexico, and lived in Vernalis for 16 years. She was a homemaker, and a custodian at Patterson High School. Mrs. Villafana was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Patterson, and St. Jude's Catholic Church, Ceres.
She leaves behind 10 stepchildren, Alfredo Villafana and Mary R. Estrella, both of Patterson, Isidro Villafana of Grayson, Gabriel Villafana, Rita Ortega and Miguel Villafana, all of Westley, Margarita Lopez of El Salatillo, Mexico, Irene Perez of Livingston, Irma Jara of Vernalis and Judith Covorrubias of Ceres; and 38 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren.
