A Mass was held Monday at St. Jude's Catholic Church for Herminia R. Gudino, 80, of Ceres. She died Monday, June 20, 2005 at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto.

A graveside service was at Lakewood Memorial Park under the direction of Lakewood Funeral Home

Born Jan. 9, 1925, Mrs. Gudino was a native of Jalisco, Mexico, and lived in Ceres for six years. She previously lived in Empire for 29 years. Mrs. Gudino was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, camping and traveling.

She leaves behind her husband, Refugio Gudino of Ceres; 11 children, Jesse Gudino, Caritina Jimenez, Rebeca Guerrero, Guillermina Campos, Romelia Gil, Imelda Sanchez, Enrique Gudino and Mario Gudino, all of Ceres, Raul Gudino of Modesto, Angelica Rodriguez of Turlock and Irma Salazar of Delano; and 33 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Ralph Gudino.
